Patrick Holland è cresciuto nell’outback del Queensland, in Australia, e ha soggiornato a lungo in Cina e Vietnam.
Ha pubblicato anche il thriller ambientato a Saigon “The Darkest Little Room”, la raccolta di racconti “The Source of the Sound”, premiata con lo Scott Prize e inserita tra i finalisti dello Steele Rudd Award, e il romanzo “The Mary Smokes Boys”, candidato al Miles Franklin Literary Award e tra i finalisti del The Age Book of the Year.
